NEW ARRIVALS! Now in the store, both online and in our physical location: Douglas Brown's Just Do It, Janet Evanovich's Fearless Fourteen, Scott McClellan's What Happened and David Sedaris' When You Are Engulfed In Flames. Click the buy books link to the left to go to our online store.

July Friday For the Arts! We look forward to July 11th, when we'll offer our first musical selection for Friday For the Arts, singer/songwriter Narissa Bond. See our about page for more details on that.

We've been working on converting our online store from a used only bookstore to a new and used one. Many of our newest arrivals are there already and we add new books almost daily. Check the store often for updates, and be sure to email us if you need a specific title not listed!

Don't forget to stop by either our online store or our physical location and get your copy of the July Book of the Month, Hillary Jordan's Mudbound at a 10% discount.  A stunning debut novel that portrays "two families caught up in the blind hatred of a small southern town," the book won the Bellwether Prize for fiction. We will discuss Mudbound at our July Book Club meeting, July 8th at 7 pm.

Next writing group meeting is on July 31 at 7 pm. Designed for adult aspiring writers of all genres, this group affords members the opportunity to meet other writers and talk about and critique each other's writing.

July 9th and July 23rd at 1 pm, our July Children's Story Hours! Targeted to 3 to 5-year-olds accompanied by an adult, this will involve the reading of an age-appropriate story and a treat to say thanks for coming!

July 19th at 11 am, our next Owl Club (Kids' Book Club) Meeting! Geared toward 8 to 12-year-olds, this involves the reading and discussion of an age-appropriate book interspersed with fun activities such as writing a story or trying a new craft. The book for July is Betsy Byars' The Summer of the Swans, and is available at a 10% discount through both our online and retail stores. We will discuss the book at our July meeting.
